Alan H. Schwartz joined the law firm of Constantine Cannon as an attorney in October 2005. He practices in the areas of antitrust and commercial litigation.

Alan H. Schwartz joined the law firm of Constantine Cannon as an attorney in October 2005. He practices in the areas of antitrust and commercial litigation.

Mr. Schwartz is currently representing plaintiffs in Funeral Consumers Alliance, et al. v. Service Corporation International, et al., a class action lawsuit involving conspiracies to eliminate price competition in the sale of caskets. He also represents Discover Financial Services, Inc. in its lawsuit against Visa and MasterCard for damages due to the "exclusionary rules" that prohibited banks in the United States from issuing Discover cards. Mr. Schwartz has extensive research and writing experience, including drafting pleadings, motions and memoranda of law.

Prior to joining Constantine Cannon, Mr. Schwartz was an associate at Milberg, Weiss, Bershad and Schulman where he specialized in antitrust and securities class action matters. He participated as co-counsel in the In re Visa Check/MasterMoney Antitrust Litigation, representing a class of over five million merchant plaintiffs against Visa and MasterCard. He was involved in all stages of the litigation including fact discovery, depositions and preparing witnesses for trial. The case resulted in the largest settlement in the history of antitrust litigation.

Mr. Schwartz received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and his B.A. in Psychology from Rutgers University. He also recently completed his M.B.A. in Finance from the Fordham University Graduate School of Business.

Mr. Schwartz is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey and before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association.
