Rachel R. Gilliar joined Constantine Cannon in September 2008. She concentrates her practice on complex commercial litigation and arbitration.

Prior to joining Constantine Cannon, Ms. Gilliar was a litigation associate at Sidley Austin LLP, where she worked on securities individual and class actions, product liability, patent infringement, and pro bono death penalty litigation. Ms. Gilliar is a recipient of a 2008 Thurgood Marshall Award for Death Penalty Representation from the New York City Bar. During law school, Ms. Gilliar interned at the United States Attorney's Office, Southern District of New York, and the Civil Rights Bureau of the New York Attorney General.

Ms. Gilliar received her J.D. in 2004 from the University of Michigan Law School and her A.B. from Dartmouth College in 1998, where she majored in Government and International Relations.

Ms. Gilliar is admitted to practice in New York State and in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the New York City Bar Association and is a member of the board of Hope.md, a non-profit organization.
