Constantine Cannon LLP assists the American Trucking Associations ("ATA") obtain a favorable ruling in the Ninth Circuit regarding ATA's attempt to enjoin the implementation of a comprehensive regulatory scheme by the Port of Los Angeles and Port of Long Beach that would impact motor carriers' prices, routes, and services at the largest port facility for containerized cargo in the United States. In reversing and remanding the district court's denial of a motion for a preliminary injunction, the Ninth Circuit held that the lower court legally erred and abused its discretion.

Lloyd Constantine, the founding member and chairman of Constantine Cannon, and currently its Counsel, was interviewed by the ABA for its Antitrust Oral History Project, established to capture the perspectives of the preeminent practitioners of antitrust law during tyhe last 35 years. Lloyd's interview focuses on the emergence of coordinated multistate antitrust enforcement by State Attorneys General which Lloyd led in the 1980s and early 90s, the rationale for founding Constantine & Partners (now Constantine Cannon) and some of the landmark and cutting edge cases which have been the Firm's mainstay since its inception in 1994.

October 29, 2008 Constantine Cannon LLP secures third largest antitrust settlement in U.S. history for its client Discover Financial Services in its lawsuit against Visa and MasterCard. Led by Partners, Jeffrey I. Shinder and Matthew L. Cantor, Constantine Cannon (along with co-counsel) helped Discover secure a $2.75 billion settlement from Visa and MasterCard. The Discover settlement followed an August 20, 2008 ruling by the Court granting Discover partial summary judgment and denying most of defendants' dispositive motions. Mr. Cantor and Mr. Shinder were also among the lead attorneys in the Constantine Cannon team that acted as lead counsel in the In Re Visa Check class action, a case that resulted in the largest antitrust settlement in U.S. history.
